Safe, Supportive & Nurturing Environments for Every Child Our Homes
- Emotional and mental wellbeing
- Physical wellbeing
- Education and learning
- Social and behavioural development
We maintain a homely feel through maintaining smaller, nurturing services. Our homes generally offer care for up to four children. We actively involve children in decisions about their home and car, helping them feel empowered, respected and truly “at home.”
Every child deserves a future filled with hope, connection and opportunity. We are here to walk alongside them, every step of the way.
We are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care to every child we look after. Our homes provide safe, stable and nurturing environments where children aged 8–17 can thrive socially, emotionally and educationally.
Our homes are specialist homes. In the South West we are focussed on learning difficulties/SEND, and on supporting children to find foster families. Our Hampshire homes focus on CCE and CSE. Services responsible to local needs.
We tailor each placement to meet the unique needs of the individual. We take the time to understand their background, challenges and strengths.
To maintain this consistency we invest in a highly trained and committed team who build meaningful relationships based on trust, empathy and unconditional care. We work closely with Local Authorities to overcome challenges and maintain long-lasting placements wherever possible.
Each child’s journey is supported through a bespoke care and support plan that

Supporting Positive Attachment & Nurture Therapy In Residential Care
Underpinning our practice is a sound theoretical base rooted in attachment theory, PACE, and the trauma recovery model. Consistent, caring relationships are fundamental to long-term progress. Our therapeutic model is delivered through consistent role modelling by trusted adults.
This includes:
- Creating psychologically informed environments
- Building strong, predictable relationships
- Supporting emotional literacy and regulation
- Responding to behaviour with empathy and understanding
Therapy at Anchor isn’t limited to a room or a scheduled session. It is woven into daily life, relationships and every interaction. It is in the way we respond to distress, celebrate progress and hold space for healing.
Every child has the capacity to grow and with the right support, they can begin to rewrite their story.
Working Together to Support Children Mental Well-Being
Mental and emotional wellbeing are central to a child’s ability to feel safe, form positive relationships and move forward in life with confidence. Many of the children have experienced significant challenges, including trauma, loss and instability. They may have had involvement with services such as CAMHS.
To meet these needs, we are proud to offer a robust, trauma-informed framework which can include external psychology support.
This approach ensures that each child receives support tailored to their needs. We work closely with psychology professionals, CAMHS, local health services, schools, social care and other relevant professionals to create joined up care plans.
Whether a child received ongoing CAMHS intervention or requires early intervention and support, we ensure their mental wellbeing needs are met with consistency, understanding and respect.
